Connections and Careers in health
Sinaxys was born with a clear purpose: to care for those who care. Today, it has become the leading healthcare recruitment platform in Brazil, impacting the lives of thousands of professionals and institutions they serve.
Challenge
I joined Sinaxys as a Senior Product Designer, focusing on redesigning the experience for healthcare professionals. However, after understanding the company’s challenges, I saw how I could make a bigger impact. As I led the strategy to unify the B2B platforms, I transitioned into the role of Product Design Manager, where I led both B2B and B2C product development, driving growth and improving the overall product to meet user needs.
High churn rate, leading to low customer retention and financial instability.
Long hiring process, causing delays in replacing healthcare professionals and impacting patient care.
The fragmented experience between recruitment and payment increases the complexity for clinics and professionals.
Low user satisfaction and engagement, resulting from inefficiencies in the hiring and payment workflows.
Current Landscape
Brazil has over 350,000 healthcare establishments, yet the sector faces persistent challenges: hiring inefficiencies, high turnover rates, and financial instability for professionals.
Clinics and hospitals struggle to fill vacancies with speed and precision, leading to operational disruptions and financial losses. A single clinic can lose up to R$ 200,000 per year due to delays in hiring the right professionals.
At the same time, healthcare professionals face difficulties not only in accessing quality job opportunities but also in securing fair payments. Many doctors report cases where they perform consultations or procedures and later struggle to receive their due payments, leading to financial insecurity and a lack of trust in the system.
Managing two separate products and databases and maintenance workflows created inefficiencies. As Product Designer Manager, I unified the platforms into an all-in-one solution, simplifying maintenance, development, support, and growth strategy. This also enabled the implementation of highly requested features, such as active search for professionals, healthcare professional profiles, and a talent pool for faster clinical staff replacement.
Redesign for Healthcare Professionals (B2C)
I also focused on redesigning the mobile app for healthcare professionals to improve their experience in applying for jobs, expressing interest in clinics, filling out profiles (replacing CVs), and tracking applications. I also replicated this experience on the web, which allowed the product team to develop and test features faster. By creating a design system, I ensured consistency across platforms, streamlining the user journey. These changes boosted development speed, engagement, signups, and re-engaged users who had previously left the platform.
