Your intelligent living platform
Evolutix was born with an ambitious purpose: to transform analogue hospital beds into intelligent digital platforms.
Context
Transform traditional hospital beds into intelligent digital platforms through the first Intelligent Room Platform (IRP) in Brazil. The focus was on hospital smart hospitality, built upon three main pillars:
Humanized patient care
Operational efficiency for clinical teams
Secure and real-time connectivity
Challenges
I had to design a product that worked seamlessly across multiple devices (TVs, tablets, iPads, desktops), each with different users, needs, and contexts. The interfaces needed to adapt not only to a wide range of physical and cognitive capabilities but also to moments of patient vulnerability. Furthermore, all interactions had to be synchronized in real time, without sacrificing security, performance, or user experience.
Another critical challenge was ensuring consistent communication between systems and departments, replacing fragmented analog processes with an integrated and traceable solution.
My Role
As the UX Lead of the project, I was responsible for leading the product design strategy from discovery to delivery and implementation. I conducted field research in hospital environments to understand technical constraints, physical infrastructure, and the real-world needs of patients, caregivers, and clinical teams. I designed a scalable multi-skin system, enabling personalized interfaces for different user types—patients, nurses, visitors, and administrators—with a strong emphasis on accessibility and usability.
Beyond interface design, I also led the operational experience layer, mapping workflows and simplifying task flows for clinical teams to reduce cognitive overload. My role extended to supporting the implementation strategy in hospitals, ensuring that the product was adaptable to different physical and operational hospital environments.
The Solution
ProXper Health became a robust, modular ecosystem that integrates smart devices with real-time data sharing. The platform allowed hospitals to digitize the room experience—from entertainment and comfort controls for the patient, to actionable dashboards for nursing teams, and management panels for hospital administration. Every interaction—whether adjusting lighting, requesting assistance, or managing a cleaning task—was synchronized and traceable.
I also created the Evolutix Lab, an in-house simulation environment where we tested all devices, scenarios, and user journeys. This lab became an essential part of our product validation cycle and a strategic tool for onboarding new clients.
Impact
40% improvement in clinical workflow efficiency, reducing the average response time to patient calls and operational requests.
30% reduction in non-clinical task overload for nursing teams, allowing more time for direct patient care.
+1,500 intelligent beds installed in top-tier hospitals across São Paulo within the first year of deployment.
25% increase in patient satisfaction, measured through post-discharge feedback regarding autonomy, comfort, and communication.
